A sneak peek at what we’ll be up to in 2016!

coming in 2016

I’ve been huddled with my team for the last few months, making big + beautiful plans for 2016. We’re always pushing ourselves to grow and exploring new ways to help makers and product designers build smarter, more successful businesses.  And there’s a whoooole lot of awesome on the horizon for 2016.  Enjoy this sneak peek…

LINE SHEET DESIGN SERVICE
In 2016, my design team will continue to help makers build compelling line sheets + order forms so you can out your best foot forward with retailers. New for 2016: updated design services with even more opportunities for customization and- for the very first time- you’ll be able to purchase our design templates if you have the chops to execute with InDesign or Photoshop. We’re happy to take the baton and build swoon-worthy marketing materials for you or help facilitate the creation of your own!

BOOK CLUB
I’m sunset-ing the Lucky Break Book Club. Though I’m still smitten with the idea, the calls left me wondering if you all had enjoyed an opportunity to read the selected books. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect and share the business books that are lighting a fire beneath me. Moving forward, I’ll tuck those book recommendations and favorite passages into my Periscope broadcasts.

PERISCOPE
Speaking of Periscope… I’ve had a ridiculously good time playing on this new video streaming platform over the last couple of months and I have some big plans for 2016. I’ll be broadcasting live every Tuesday and Thursday for 30-45 minutes beginning at 12:30 Eastern. On Take Away Tuesdays, I’ll share business wisdom (think: wholesale strategy, brand development, and product pricing), meditations on the entrepreneurial mindset, and business book recommendations.

On Ask Away Thursdays, I’ll answer business questions submitted by my followers. If you’d like to pose a question, then I invite you to register for my Periscope Vault. Instructions for tucking a question into the queue are located there, along with notes and resources from my Periscope broadcasts. I won’t be saving the broadcasts, so I hope you’ll bring a lunch and catch me live as often as possible!

RESOURCE LIBRARY
I have oodles+ oodles of amazing entrepreneurial resources that I’ve cultivated for my teaching programs and I’m doing-cartwheels-excited about the opportunity to slip the exact tools you need into your hot little hands the minute you need them. These instantly downloadable materials will range in price from $25-99 and the first release will drop the last Wednesday in January. A new handful of materials will be published each month until I have a deliciously robust library for entrepreneurs by the end of 2016. I have loads of information-rich, but bite-sized project in store.

Think: how to write an about page, how to create more compelling product descriptions, how to design a shelf talker, how to artfully announce a price increase, how to offer trade credit to wholesale buyers (without losing your ass), and more. We’re suuuuuper stoked about the new Resource Library!

MENTORING PROGRAM
I’m refining + restructuring my mentor program in 2016. Available to just a handful of brands each year, this is a unique opportunity to work one-on-one with me in a more intimate, more comprehensive fashion. From new brand launches to product development to building a uniquely tailored wholesale program, each mentorship is individually designed to propel your business forward. Mentorships will run for 3 month stints and are available exclusively to clients who I’ve worked with through other Lucky Break programs. Applications will open on February 1 and close on March 18 for mentorships running in April, May and June of 2016.

NEWSLETTER

I’ll continue to drop morsels of wisdom in your inbox every few weeks of 2016. To be the first to know when I post new (and free!) resources on the blog, when enrollment opens in one of my coveted classes, and to meet inspiring makers on the move and hot shops you should have on your radar, hop on my mailing list. I promise to keep your email address Fort-Knox-safe!

PRIVATE STRATEGY SESSIONS
One-on-one power hours will continue in 2016 on a limited basis. Tag me in to review your website, build a stronger pricing strategy, develop a savvier brand so that you can stand out in dense markets, or launch a killer wholesale program that attracts buyers like bees to honey. Reservations can be made directly through this site and my Client Concierge team (shout out to Melissa and Shannon!) will be in touch to synch calendars. Our goal is to execute every reserved strategy session within 14 days of booking. Thanks to the holidays and some curriculum-building I’m working on, the next available dates are in February.

NEW PRICING CLASS
The rumors are true! My new pricing class launches on June 16th and enrollment will open approximately 30 days in advance of that date. This class has been 18 months in development and it’s infused with heavy doses of consumer psychology and value-based thinking. It’s ideal if you a) need to get your costs of production down and/or b) know that you’re undervaluing your products but are scared shitless that a significant price hike will scare away your buyers. I happen to have heaps of thoughts and action plans designed to get you where you need to be and I’ll be sharing them come summer.

BRICK HOUSE BRANDING + LBU LIVE
My two flagship programs will be brand spanking new for 2016. These 8-week business incubators are delightfully hands-on and incredibly comprehensive. They’re my pride and joy and I’ve taken everything up eight notches for 2016! LBU Live will run twice in the coming year and Brick House Branding will play host to three semesters. Enrollment will continue to open months in advance and I’ll continue offering budget-friendly payment plans and I bet they’ll continue selling out in short order.

One thing that I promise to be better about in 2016? Announcing when those open enrollment periods launch so you can plan ahead. In fact, every semester has already been charted for the year. Want the skinny on open enrollment? Drop us a line and we’ll slide dates your way!

LIVE EVENTS
My calendar for live events is shaping up nicely. I’ll be teaching workshops in Ventura CA, Nashville TN, Las Vegas NV, and Tampa FL. I hope you’ll check out my live event schedule and snag a seat to join me for cocktails and empire-building (I’m hellagood at both!). I have some crazy-good plans for Lucky Break branded events in select cities in 2017 and will dedicate some time in the coming year to breathing life into those plans.

TOP SECRET NEW PROJECT
It’s so top-secret that I can’t even tell you the name yet! Here’s what I can share: if you’ve been floundering in your wholesale efforts, then I’m about to rock your world. On March 10, Lucky Break is scheduled to release a uh-maze-ing new program designed to help you implement all the goodness we’ve been teaching over the lat few years. We’re going to take your wholesale efforts from concept to implementation and stick by your side every step of the way. We’ve been huddling tight and pulling some long hours to create and launch this new venture and I’ve had to force myself to shut down the laptop and catch some zzzz’s. We’re that excited. I hope you are, too.
